Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) through its Youth Inclusion Initiative seeks a Program Assistant to support planning, coordination, and evaluation of programs. You will assist in stakeholder engagement, outreach, and cross‑sector collaboration under supervision.

The role emphasizes building partnerships, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment within the CI​ER office in Trenton, NJ.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional experience in planning, monitoring, coordinating, implementing, modifying and/or evaluating agency programs and services.
• Bachelor's degree and one year of the above experience OR Master's degree.
• Professional experience refers to analytical, evaluative work with decision-making authority.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, operation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of department programs.
• Assist in conducting research and field work to meet department needs.
• Support Youth Inclusion Initiative through stakeholder engagement and outreach.
