Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka is seeking a dedicated teen services leader to oversee a broad range of programs for youth ages 13-18. You will help prepare teens for success by fostering Positive Self Identity, Health & Well-being, Positive Values, Commitment to Learning, Social Competency and Civic Involvement, within a safe club environment.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years or older.
Desire to provide activities based on teens' developmental needs.
Ability to plan, organize and manage complex initiatives.
Ability to cultivate positive relationships with individuals.
Ability to mentor and motivate members toward academic success, good citizenship, and healthy lifestyle.
Deal effectively with conflict and discipline problems.
Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and collaboration to achieve outcomes.
Demonstrate independent work skills to guide effective decision making and positive results for BGCT.

Responsibilities

Provide programs, activities and services that support a safe, positive environment.
Facilitate daily experiences aligned with club learning objectives.
Implement and evaluate programs, services and activities.
Engage members and address their needs to promote personal growth.
Assist with maintaining equipment and supplies.
Collaborate with the Teen Services Director and team to plan summer and after-school activities.
Represent the club professionally to members, families and the community.
Ensure safety and compliance with BGCT policies.
