Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to inspire children through our before/after school and day camp programs. This role emphasizes safety, inclusiveness, and fun through engaging activities.

You'll lead under the guiding principle of YMCA values, ensuring that every child feels supported and excited to learn. Join a dedicated team committed to making lasting impacts in the lives of families and youth in our community.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience with youth in a licensed facility.
• Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention training.
• Ability to plan age-appropriate activities.
• Pass state/local background checks.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe, engaged, and accounted for.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Guide children through hands-on learning activities.
• Model YMCA values daily.
• Maintain a clean and organized program space.
• Build relationships with children and families.
