Job description

Job Title: Youth Hockey Development Member

Pay Details: The starting hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.

Overview

A part‑time seasonal position within the Anaheim Ducks Fan Development Marketing Department. C.R.E.W. members will support, instruct and implement youth hockey initiatives across street, roller, and ice hockey, and represent the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club as ambassadors.

Responsibilities
  • Implementation and instruction of the S.C.O.R.E. Street Hockey program.
  • Teaching student street‑hockey fundamentals and safety practices during instructional sessions at school sites.
  • Loading necessary equipment and directing instruction for each session.
  • Implementation and instruction of ice and inline hockey initiatives.
  • Teaching students’ hockey fundamentals including safety practices at instructional sessions at local rink locations.
  • Gathering equipment, outfitting student participants and directing on‑rink instruction.
  • Assist with preparations, support, and implementation of i3 Roller Hockey Playoffs and Showcase Game at The Rinks Inline Facilities.
  • Assist with preparations, support, implementation, and officiating of street‑hockey games and tournaments, including the S.C.O.R.E. Shootout.
  • Assist with various school‑based events, including setting up audio/visual and street‑hockey equipment.
  • Drive Ducks promotional vehicles to and from events, keeping them fully stocked, clean, and unloaded after events.
  • Assist with implementation of S.C.O.R.E. programs: First Flight, Captains Challenge, and Throwback Classic.
  • Assist with organization and maintenance of the Fan Development storage unit(s).
  • Work promotional give‑away events at Ducks games.
  • Assist with other tasks on an as‑needed basis.
Qualifications
  • Organized with the ability to multi‑task and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Bronze‑level (2+ years) ice or roller hockey experience highly preferred.
  • Hard‑working, detail‑oriented and results‑driven.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work as a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Previous experience working with elementary‑aged students preferred (camp counselor, coaching, teaching).
  • Previous marketing, promotional or event experience preferred.
  • Bilingual speakers a plus.
  • Teaching or adaptive P.E. instruction experience a plus.
  • Candidate medically cleared to work in school‑based environments a plus.
  • Youth roller or ice hockey coaching a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Valid California driver’s license, automobile liability insurance and a good driving record.
  • Flexible schedule – must be able to work some nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Requires prolonged standing and ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor conditions.
  • Uniform (including street, roller, and on‑ice clothing) is provided.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Certifications Required: N/A.
  • Experience Required: 1–2 years.
