Job summary

The City of Boulder is seeking a Youth Hip Hop Instructor for part-time engagement. Under limited supervision, you will lead dance classes, motivate participants of various ages and skill levels, and provide safe, engaging instruction while building a wellness-focused community.

You will choreograph routines, assess students, coordinate with parents and staff, and help run events like camps or performances. A background in youth dance with CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to choreograph age-appropriate routines.
• Ability to evaluate safety and conditions in assigned areas.
• Clear communication with participants, parents, and coordinators.
• Collaborate with coaching partners and coordinators on lesson ideas.

Responsibilities

• Teaches foundational dance skills across formats and ages.
• Instructs multiple levels from beginner to advanced; develops routines.
• Choreographs recreation and competition routines.
• Evaluates participant skills and progression.
• Sets up equipment, maintains roll sheets, communicates with parents.
