Job summary

Youth Athletes United - Capital Region in Albany, NY is seeking a passionate Youth Hip Hop Dance Instructor to inspire and energize young dancers. This role blends movement, performance, and mentorship in a fun, high-energy studio environment where connecting with kids is essential.

You will lead age-appropriate classes, teach hip-hop, jazz, and contemporary styles, choreograph routines, assess progress, and communicate with parents to support student development and confidence.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience teaching dance to youth or children in a studio, school, or recreational setting
  • Proficiency in one or more dance styles (hip-hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, etc.)
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage young students
  • Patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging demeanor with children of all ages and abilities
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional with strong communication skills
  • Background check required

  • Choreograph routines for recitals, showcases, or special performances
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and class updates
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio space during classes
