OSU Rec Sports - Sport. Leadership. Wellness. is seeking a part-time Gymnastics Instructor for the KidSpirit Youth Organization at Oregon State University.

The role emphasizes safe, growth-oriented instruction for youth with strong communication and teamwork expectations. Responsibilities include lesson planning, safety management, equipment handling, and collaboration with families and staff. Required First Aid, RRCAN, and Child Care Health & Safety certifications, with a flexible afternoons

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university.
• Maintain Academic Standing; students on suspension are not eligible.
• Current, valid First Aid certification to start programming.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction to youth in gymnastics, ensuring safety.
• Plan age-appropriate lessons, manage equipment, and promote the program.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and supervisors to support participant growth.
• Monitor safety and respond to emergencies with first aid when needed.
• Attend orientation, meetings, and in-service trainings.
