Qualifications

• Two years of experience in care, custody, activities, or personal guidance of youths or adults in human services or related programs.
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and training required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old at time of application.
• PA residency requirement is waived for this title.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision, support and structure for residents at Loysville Youth Development Center.
• Maintain safety and prevent harmful behaviors through active supervision.
• Assist in carrying out the Master Case Planning System through documentation and participation in programming.
• Conduct contraband searches to maintain a secure environment.
• Supervise residents in hygiene, meals, recreation, work tasks and treatment activities.
• Enforce safety using least restrictive intervention techniques.

Associate’s degree in social sciences, counseling, restorative justice, juvenile justice, child development, behavioral sciences, human services, criminal justice, education, or closely related field
