Job summary

Ymca Of Reading & Berks County in Fleetwood, PA is seeking an Assistant Group Supervisor to oversee classroom operations, plan activities, and coordinate with aides and volunteers. You will ensure program safety, follow schedules, and support positive outcomes for children and families.

The role requires PA child care compliance, strong English communication, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with required credits or training in early childhood education or related human services field.
• Experience or credentials meeting PA child care and group supervisor requirements.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom activities and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all children in the program.
• Maintain classroom organization and participate in staff trainings.

High school diploma or GED + 30 college credits in ECE/child development/related fields

High school diploma or GED + 600+ hours of secondary training (3270.31 c)

High school diploma or GED + 2 years experience with children

Ability to meet PA Code Title 55 3270 qualifications
