Requirements include a Master's in social work or related field, Virginia licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPC or SiSW/RIC), and at least 2 years of pediatric mental health counseling experience.

Qualifications

Childhelp is a psychiatric residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children aged 5-14 with mild to severe trauma or neglect, psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our unique location on a 270-acre farm provides a nurturing treatment setting with a variety of therapy resources. We bring the light of love and healing into the lives of countless abused and neglected children, and those suffering from psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Pay: Starting at $65,000 annually based on experience and licensure.

What you will do: As a Therapist at Childhelp, you will conduct individual, group and family therapy with clients assigned to your personal caseload (8-10). Responsible for overall delivery and implementation of each individual Client Treatment Plan, attending Child and Family Team meetings and treatment team meetings, and completing assessment, Client Treatment Plans and reports as required by the county and state. Attend to clients, families, and referral source concerns as well as providing timely reports on treatment obstacles and progress. Documents treatment interventions and results in a timely manner. Also, you would conduct 1-3 therapy groups weekly and as needed to support client growth.

To be considered you should: Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a Master’s degree in social work from an accredited School of Social Work or a Master’s degree in a related Mental Health field ~ Licensed by the State of Virginia as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC OR Licensed as a Resident in Counseling (RIC) or Supervisee in Social Work (SiSW) ~ Minimum of 2 years of work experience providing mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, and their families ~ Be able to perform a therapeutic restraint ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 40 hours a week with up to 1 remote days a week.
