The role focuses on teaching golf basics, planning engaging lessons, and maintaining a safe, encouraging environment for youth participants. Evening weekday sessions are available, with opportunities for growth within the program.

Qualifications

• Experience playing golf and understanding of fundamentals.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for youth development.
• Prior experience working with children or youth in teaching, coaching, or mentoring capacity.

Responsibilities

• Instruct youth golfers in grip, stance, swing mechanics, and course etiquette.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate golf lessons for beginner to intermediate junior players.
• Supervise and manage groups in a safe, positive learning environment.
• Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and lifelong love of the game.
• Communicate progress and feedback to parents and program coordinators.
• Set up and break down equipment and instructional materials.

TGA of the Twin Cities is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Youth Golf Instructor to inspire the next generation of golfers in the southeast Metro! Responsibilities:

• Instruct youth golfers in fundamental skills including grip, stance, swing mechanics, and course etiquette
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate golf lessons and curriculum for beginner to intermediate junior players
• Supervise and manage groups of youth participants in a safe and positive learning environment
• Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the game
• Communicate progress and feedback to parents and program coordinators
• Set up and break down equipment and instructional materials before and after sessions
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth participants

Requirements:

• Experience playing golf with a solid understanding of the game's fundamentals
• Prior experience working with children or youth in a teaching, coaching, or mentoring capacity
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for youth development
• Must be available weekdays between 2:00-8:00pm for afterschool and evening classes
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Reliable transportation to program locations in the Farmington, Cottage Grove and Lakeville, MN area
