TGA of the Twin Cities is seeking a Youth Sports Coach to inspire the next generation of athletes in the Twin Cities. This role offers meaningful community impact by teaching kids valuable life skills through sport and fostering a love for athletics.

You will lead engaging sessions, ensure safety, and communicate progress with parents while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes in a fun, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or youth in coaching, teaching, or mentoring.
• Strong knowledge of sports fundamentals and youth development.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, enthusiastic demeanor with young athletes.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to afterschool schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging youth sports instructional sessions.
• Teach fundamental sport skills, rules, and techniques to participants of varying levels.
• Create a safe, positive, inclusive environment for all athletes.
• Monitor player development, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
• Communicate progress and program updates with parents/guardians.
• Set up and break down equipment before and after sessions.
• Enforce safety guidelines and ensure participant wellbeing.

• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all young athletes
• Monitor and encourage player development, sportsmanship, and teamwork
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding player progress and program updates
• Set up and break down equipment before and after each session
• Enforce safety guidelines and ensure the well-being of all participants at all times

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or youth in a coaching, teaching, or mentoring capacity
• Strong knowledge of sports fundamentals and youth athletic development
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging demeanor with young athletes
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to program schedules, must have a reliable vehicle
• Must be available weekdays between 2:00-8:00pm for afterschool and evening classes
• Must pass a background check prior to employment
