Job summary

TGA of the Twin Cities is seeking an enthusiastic Youth Sports Coach to inspire the next generation of athletes in the Twin Cities. Lead engaging youth sessions, teach fundamental sport skills, rules, and safe practices, and create a positive learning environment for players of varying abilities.

You will monitor development, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, communicate with parents about progress and program updates, and help with setup and breakdown of equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or youth in coaching/teaching capacity.
• Strong knowledge of sports fundamentals and youth development.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work afterschool/evening schedules.
• Must pass background check.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or youth in a coaching, teaching, or mentoring capacity
• Strong knowledge of sports fundamentals and youth athletic development
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging demeanor with young athletes
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to program schedules, must have a reliable vehicle
• Must be available weekdays between 2:00-8:00pm for afterschool and evening classes
• Must pass a background check prior to employment
