SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Cleveland Browns Youth Football Coach is a part-time position responsible for supporting the planning, setup, and execution of youth football programming throughout the summer and fall. These programs include summer camps, clinics, tournaments, and community events focused on flag and tackle football. Coaches will deliver high-energy, educational, and engaging experiences while promoting leadership, sportsmanship, and character development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coach youth & high school athletes (ages 6-17) in a safe, positive, and structured environment during camps, clinics, and special events.
- Have a full understanding of the basic levels of football and individual football positions on offense and defense.
- Support event logistics including set-up, tear-down, check-in/registration, distributing apparel/equipment, and communicating with parents/guardians.
- Promote a fun and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition.
- Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with staff, players, and coaches.
- Monitor player safety and enforce field and equipment protocols.
- Assist with managing supplies, event assets, and operational needs.
- Travel to various locations across Northeast and Central Ohio.
- Represent the Cleveland Browns brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college education or teaching certification preferred.
- Prior experience playing or coaching football; ability to coach offense and/or defense positions.
- Experience working with youth in educational, athletic, or recreational settings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 80-100 lbs.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- CPR/AED certification and/or willingness to obtain USA Football Youth Coach Certification.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and passion for football.
- Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills.
