Job summary

Seed House Project is seeking a part-time Financial Coach to provide individualized financial coaching, group workshops, and a trauma-informed approach to support member financial wellness. The role blends practical money management with psychology of money, helping young people achieve housing stability and financial independence.

The position is a part-time contractor role offering flexible hours (evenings/weekends) and compensation of $60.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in financial coaching or counseling with individuals or groups.
• Strong knowledge of personal finance topics: budgeting, credit, saving, taxes.
• Familiarity with behavioral aspects of money and financial coaching approaches.
• Experience working with young adults or marginalized communities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one financial coaching sessions with assigned members.
• Develop customized budgets and transition plans for life after SHP.
• Create credit-building plans and guide members through tools like secured cards and credit-builder loans.
• Educate on tax filing basics and connect members to VITA resources as needed.
• Facilitate group financial wellness workshops and track progress.
• Document progress notes and participate in care-team collaboration.
