Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies in California seeks a Wraparound Family Partner to provide peer support and advocacy for youth and families, drawing on personal experience to engage care plans and collaborate with the supporting team.

The role emphasizes collaboration, engagement with diverse populations, and building a family safety network using community resources. A valid driver’s license and state clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Personal, lived experience with relevant systems (e.g., child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, etc.).
• At least 18 years of age.
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and communicate guidance, expertise, and support for youth, families, and/or any other natural supports one-on-one and in group settings.
• Demonstrate engagement and alignment skills to build trust and rapport with youth and families.
• Work as a collaborative advocate, helping youth and caregivers understand mandates and navigate county systems.
• Use knowledge of community resources, school systems, or other mental health services to connect youth and families to a family safety network.
• Provide coaching and support related to safety/self‑control plans and self-care plans for youth/families.
• Attend and participate in mental health awareness activities in the community.
• Participate in peer forums including public speaking engagements.
• Complete all training requirements as indicated by supervisor.
• Participate in weekly supervision/mentorship.
• Maintain accurate documentation including mental health notes, timesheets, expense reports, and mileage.
