Job summary

GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the Youth & Family Coordinator will assist with the leadership, management, and supervision of the Youth & Family programs and staff to provide the highest quality programming within a safe environment. A 40 hours work week will be necessary to accomplish the assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21.
• Commitment to YMCA mission, vision and values.
• Complete CPR/AED, First Aid, O2, and Listen First Workshop.
• Understand and abide by all association policies and procedures.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Program Director in training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating staff and volunteers.
• Assist in evaluation of services and programs to improve quality.
• Maintain familiarity with risk management procedures.
• Help develop department policies and enforce them.
• Be accessible and visible to staff and members.
• Support membership and program operations with clear communication.
• Ensure program areas are safe and clean for quality experiences.
• Follow risk management guidelines and implement emergency procedures; report concerns.
• Enforce all program rules and policies.
• Attend applicable training for professional development.
• Lead and support Strong Community Campaign fundraising efforts.
• All other duties as assigned.
