Job summary

The YMCA of Central Kentucky is seeking a part-time Youth and Family Coordinator in Lexington, KY to oversee programs like Kids Corner, Parent's Night Out, and Safe Sitter classes. You will supervise youth activities, ensure safety, and support engagement with families and volunteers.

Responsibilities include curriculum planning, staff scheduling, and collaboration with the Youth & Family Engagement Director. Evening and weekend hours are required to fit program schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of youth activity experience in camp or recreation setting.
• Strong ability in using MS Office.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrate initiative, creativity, flexibility, and align with YMCA values.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct program coverage for Kids Corner, PNO, sports classes, Safe Sitter, family events, and other youth activities.
• Ensure quality program delivery and participant safety in line with YMCA policies.
• Lead staff during assigned hours and support participant and parent engagement.
• Manage Kids Corner staff schedule and assist with onboarding and training.
• Identify staffing gaps and communicate needs to Youth & Family Engagement Director.
• Assist in curriculum planning for Kids Corner and Parent's Night Out.
