Job summary

City of Fishers is seeking an energetic, full-time Assistant Youth and Family Manager to support program development and daily operations at the Fishers Community Center’s on-site childcare center. You’ll supervise staff, coordinate youth and family programming, ensure top-notch customer service, and collaborate with the Youth and Family Manager.

The role emphasizes organization, teamwork, and youth development, with duties spanning program execution, reporting, staff coordination, and safety

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience developing and executing comprehensive youth and family programming.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make independent decisions within established guidelines.
• Experience delivering a high level of customer service to diverse users.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license with a driving record that allows insuring to drive a city vehicle.
• Must have Adult CPR/AED, First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within the first 60 days.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, execution, coordination, and evaluation of youth and family programming; support implementation, monitor participation, adjust schedules, and support revenue growth.
• Assist Youth and Family Manager with staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision; address deficiencies as needed.
• Support record-keeping and reporting; update program data and staff documentation; assist in preparing reports.
• Assist with regular staff meetings and training; ensure compliance with health codes and certifications.
• Maintain safe and clean facilities; enforce safety guidelines; report maintenance issues.
• Communicate with families about programs, schedules, and events; liaise between parents and staff to resolve concerns.
