Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies seeks a compassionate Parent Partner to provide peer support and advocacy for youth and families. You will use lived experience to help families navigate challenges, access resources, and stay engaged in care.

The role includes one-on-one support, group facilitation, and collaboration with care teams to empower families toward success. This full-time position includes frequent outreach and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Personal lived experience as a caregiver of a child who has received services.
• At least 18 years old.
• TB test clearance and fingerprinting clearance.
• Valid driver's license and insurability through Seneca.

Responsibilities

• Provide and communicate guidance and support for youth and families one-on-one and in groups.
• Build trust and rapport with youth, families, and collateral supports.
• Navigate county systems as a collaborative advocate for families.
• Connect families to community resources and a safety network.
• Offer coaching on safety planning and self-care for youth and families.
• Attend mental health awareness activities and peer forums.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in supervision.
• Participate in on-call rotation if required.
