Job summary

Good Shepherd Baptist Church seeks an Associate Pastor of Students and Families to lead the Youth, Children, and Families Ministry under the Senior Pastor. The role focuses on developing a church-wide discipleship vision and coordinating ministry programs.

The candidate should align with the church’s Statement of Faith, prefer Bible training, and have prior ministry leadership experience. Responsibilities include recruiting volunteers and fostering family involvement in ministry.

Qualifications

• Meets 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9
• Agreement with GSBC Statement of Faith (2017 Constitution)
• Bible training preferred, not required
• Experience developing/leading ministry preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop a vision for youth, children, and families ministries.
• Evaluate and develop programs within the ministry.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for ministry programs.
• Ensure teaching positions are filled by qualified teachers.
• Grow and maintain ministry programs through volunteers.
• Train volunteers and provide leadership development.
• Develop relationships with student families and church families.
• Foster fellowship between youth and adults in ministry.
• Encourage ministry/service involvement among families and students.
• Adapt responsibilities to ministry seasons and growth.
