Job summary

Bannock County in Idaho seeks an Intake and Diversion Unit support specialist to oversee engagement, screening, and assessment of youth and families referred to The Village. You will coordinate with community resources and school counselors to create case management plans and ensure services meet individual needs.

The role involves entering client data into data systems, supporting quarterly and yearly reports, and working under the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer in office and field

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in probation monitoring, social services, or court-related behavioral services with at-risk youth.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the Family Engagement and Community Referral Program.
• Coordinates Self/Community Referral Program with school officials, law enforcement, local providers, and families.
• Reviews engagement and citation paperwork, schedules interviews, and prepares youth and families for screening.
• Enters client information into the data system and supports quarterly/yearly reports.
• Collaborates with youth, families, community resource workers, school counselors and medical providers to coordinate resources.
• Screens, assesses, and assigns youth and families to prevention programs.
• Prepares youth and families for Admit/Deny hearings for court processes.
• Determines court recommendations and forwards information to Probation.
• Represents the program to the public and community groups.
• Provides direction and cross-training to AmeriCorps members and interns.
