Job summary

Liliʻuokalani Trust seeks an experienced Youth Engagement Specialist II (YES II) to design and deliver social-emotional learning and youth development programming. The role emphasizes creating welcoming environments, mentoring youth, and collaborating with families and communities across our programs.

The YES II works with a dedicated team to support wraparound services for Native Hawaiian youth and their families, travel as needed, and contribute to program evaluation and improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; related field considered with experience.
• Minimum three years of youth development or related program experience.
• Experience independently facilitating youth programming and structured learning.

Responsibilities

• Independently facilitate youth activities, groups, and structured learning experiences.
• Create a safe environment promoting belonging and positive identity formation.
• Build strong relationships with youth, families, and community members.
• De-escalate conflict and adapt activities to engagement levels.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to youth on decision-making.
• Track progress, document incidents, and communicate with supervisors.
• Support program design, evaluation, and data management.
• Assist with enrollment, intake, and front desk operations as needed.
