Job summary

Liliʻuokalani Trust is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist II Maui-based role to design and facilitate social-emotional learning and PYD programming. You will cultivate warm, welcoming environments, mentor youth, manage group dynamics, and adapt activities to support growth and goal progression within LT’s wraparound services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in youth development or related field.
• Experience independently facilitating youth programming or structured learning experiences.
• Knowledge of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Positive Youth Development (PYD).
• Experience with case management, documentation, and data systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently facilitate youth activities, groups, and structured learning experiences.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment promoting belonging and positive identity formation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with youth, families, and community partners.
• De-escalate conflict and adapt activities to engagement levels and needs.
• Lead structured learning experiences and coach youth toward growth.
• Document incidents, track progress, and support program evaluation.
