Job summary

Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. is seeking a Youth Engagement Intern to join the education and engagement team in Indianapolis. The role focuses on educating students and the public about agriculture and offering networking and leadership development opportunities.

The intern will work about 37.5 hours per week at our downtown headquarters from May 24 to August 22, supporting youth programs and coordinating special events and workshops.

Qualifications

• Applicants pursuing an agricultural degree who understand youth livestock programming
• An agricultural background
• Applicants who are self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, and can establish clearly defined goals and objectives for projects

Responsibilities

• Work with youth programs (4-H/FFA/Collegiate Farm Bureau) to develop and boost programming
• Help plan and execute INFB’s exhibitor experience at the Indiana State Fair
• Coordinate and implement INFB’s Young Farmers & Ag Professionals summer awards and competitions
• Assist with leadership development workshops and programming
