Job summary

Elemental Hardware Enrichment is seeking an Instructor to deliver hands-on, project-based programs for youth ages 5–14. You’ll lead activities across DIY Builders, DIY Makers, and Grow-It-Yourself, guiding learning and SEL goals in collaboration with site staff.

You will work afternoons, coordinate with partner sites across Ventura County, and provide feedback to leadership on program quality. Travel and ongoing training are part of the role, with onboarding processes detailed in the program.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience working with students aged 5–14.
• 2–4 years of classroom management experience.
• Availability for shifts Monday–Friday 12pm–6pm.
• Ability to communicate with students, parents, and staff in Spanish.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pass live scan background check within 2 weeks of offer.
• First Aid Certification or willingness to acquire within 2 weeks.
• CPR Certification or willingness to acquire within 2 weeks.
• Mandated reporter training or willingness to complete.
• Enjoys working with students aged 5–14.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on programs and lessons across DIY Builders, DIY Makers, Grow-It-Yourself.
• Supervise youth during transitions, snack, dismissal, and homework help.
• Travel between partner sites in Ventura County.
• Share feedback at team meetings and professional development.
• Participate in community events as needed.
• Engage in onboarding and ongoing training.
