Job summary

Common Wealth Development seeks a Youth Employment Coordinator to run workforce development programs for Madison-area high school youth. The role involves coaching teens, coordinating education and job placement activities, and strengthening school and business partnerships.

The position requires 2+ years coordinating programs, training teens, and bilingual Spanish/Hmong skills. A 4-year degree in a related field and a valid driver's license are required. Full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, humanities, or arts.
• At least 2 years coordinating multiple programs.
• At least 2 years facilitating trainings with teens/young adults.
• Experience with youth from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication and relationship-building.
• Valid driver’s license and daily access to insured car.
• Spanish and/or Hmong speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit for, coordinate, and facilitate programs for Madison-area high school youth.
• Mentor youth to support learning and future goals.
• Develop employment opportunities with local businesses for youth.
• Support partnerships with Madison Metropolitan School District and network partners.
• Network with businesses, schools, and families to promote programs.
• Communicate effectively with a team to ensure high-quality programming.
• Maintain written records and databases.
• Perform other tasks as requested.
