Soil Born Farms is a non‑profit, organic, and regenerative farm dedicated to environmental stewardship, community health, and experiential education. Located on the historic American River Ranch in Rancho Cordova, our mission is to create an urban agriculture and education project that empowers youth and adults to discover and participate in a local food system. This year, we are expanding our impact with the completion of a new animal barn facility. This milestone enables us to reintroduce livestock to the farm and establish a dedicated space to house Future Farmers of America (FFA) student projects.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Youth Educator to lead engaging, hands‑on educational programming for students from early childhood through high school. A primary focus of this role is developing immersive agricultural projects and overseeing the educational animal program while ensuring high standards of animal husbandry and safety. In addition, you will partner with the education team to deliver engaging field trips, summer camps, and homeschool activities. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in agricultural science, environmental education, and animal husbandry, with a proven ability to translate complex concepts into interactive, outdoor learning experiences. Additionally, experience with ruminants is beneficial.
