Zusammenfassung

Good Shepherd Services is seeking an Educational/Vocational Specialist to promote educational engagement and success for youth in NSP Blum and Rose. You will support re-enrollment, school advocacy, and skill development to enhance self-sufficiency.

The role reports to the Director of Social Services and involves collaboration with the NSP teams to plan and implement educational and vocational activities, including visits to Passages Academy and coordination with DOE/ACS.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required with youth development experience and understanding of adolescents in care.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
• Experience with school systems and building community resource networks is preferred.

• Conduct assessments and develop educational plans to support youth academic success.
• Collaborate with treatment team to design holistic service plans.
• Lead enrollment efforts and coordinate with schools and vocational programs.
• Document activities and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Advocate for youth education needs with DOE/ACS and external partners.
