Job summary

State of Missouri Education Specialist position involves delivering curricula to youth in day treatment and residential programs. You will implement IEPs, collaborate with teaching teams, and ensure compliance with testing and records requirements.

Responsibilities include medication dispensing, supervision for safety, and coordination with families. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Education or equivalent with teaching certification eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent with ability to obtain teaching certificate.
• Experience or eligibility for Missouri teaching certification pathways.
• Master’s degree plus teaching certificate may meet alternative requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement group and individual education plans; plan class work and materials.
• Confer with parents and students; work in teaching team; develop IEPs.
• Adhere to testing guidelines; maintain scholastic and attendance records.
• Administer and score pre/post tests; monitor student progress.
• Provide supervision to youth ensuring safety, behavior, and therapy.
• Transport and escort youth and assist in emergencies.
• Dispense medications to youth as required.
