Job summary

Boy s & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada is seeking an Education Specialist - Full Time for the Downtown Club in Las Vegas, NV. The role oversees Academic Success programs, plans activities, and reports on outcomes in collaboration with the Programs team.

Responsibilities include mentoring club members, ensuring program quality, and maintaining grants compliance. A valid Nevada driver’s license may be required and occasional after-hours work is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization working with youth in education/art.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook).
• Ability to deal effectively with multi-age groups of children in activities and play.
• Ability to meet deadlines with time constraints and handle multiple demands.
• Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with the public, families, Youth Development Professionals, and members.
• Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for the safety, well-being, and output of others.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and oversee the administration of Academic Success programs and activities.
• Evaluate programs to address gender and cultural diversity.
• Serve as mentor/role model and enforce standards for conduct.
• Promote programs, events, and field trips to members and families.
• Assist with retention and recruitment of members through outreach.
• Oversee cleanliness and safe operation of Clubhouse areas and grounds.
• Work with staff to foster a positive environment for members.
• Assist at other Clubhouse locations when needed.
• Occasionally work irregular or extended hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
