Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania seeks a Peer Education Specialist to implement the Peer Helpers program and mentor students through structured education and activities.

You will deliver age-appropriate sexuality education, build relationships with youth across middle and high school years, and collaborate with educators to promote school completion and healthy decision-making.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience and/or training with underserved youth.
• Act 33/34 clearances required.
• Flexible schedule including weeknights/weekends.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sexuality education lessons aligned to the Peer Helpers program.
• Engage youth in conversations on relationships, consent, contraception and related topics.
• Support Peer Helpers to develop leadership skills and community engagement.
• Participate in community education events as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, respectful space for staff and students.
• Communicate professionally with teens, parents, and school leaders.
• Keep curriculum current with field developments.
• Complete administrative tasks and reports in a timely manner.
