Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs Inc. is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist in Philadelphia to provide community-based services for youth at risk of substance use. This role involves delivering evidence-based services and developing strategies to help young individuals recognize the harms of addiction.

The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience in health services. Benefits include dental, vision, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, special education, psychology, social work, or related field is required.
• One (1) year of clinical experience in a health and human services agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.
• Experience working with young children or youth with drug or alcohol dependency.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based services to help young people understand the consequences of substance use.
• Develop a community-wide response to substance use issues.
• Help at-risk youth make positive decisions concerning substance use.
