Job summary

BestCare Treatment Services, Inc. seeks a Dual Diagnosis Clinician to provide outpatient counseling to youth and their families. The role involves individual, group, and family therapy with an integrated approach to substance use and co-occurring mental health issues.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, developing collaborative treatment plans, crisis de-escalation, and coordination with community partners. Strong documentation and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Social work, Counseling, Child & Family, or other behavioral science field required.
• Minimum 1 year working with youth in a behavioral health setting (2 years preferred).
• Minimum 1 year working with substance-use disorder (2 years preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience providing family counseling.
• For individuals in recovery from substance-use disorder, must have maintained continuous recovery for the previous two years at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team providing outpatient services to youth clients and their families.
• Conducts comprehensive assessments including trauma evaluation and mental health diagnoses.
• Develops treatment plans with measurable indicators of progress.
• Uses evidenced-based interventions in individual, family, and group therapy.
• Addresses risk and safety concerns at home, school, and in the community.
• Collaborates with treatment team and community agencies to provide a safe environment.
• Develops and monitors individualized safety plans with crisis-prevention steps.
• Educates clients and families about addiction, recovery, and coping strategies.
• Maintains documentation in client files and agency logs per timelines and standards.
• Complies with HIPAA, scope of practice, and regulatory requirements.
