Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking Direct Support/Care Professionals to work with youth in Rutland, MA. You will provide direct supervision, safety and therapeutic interventions in a compassionate setting, while collaborating with clinicians to support treatment goals.

Ideal candidates are passionate about helping youth, ready to learn and grow, and committed to completing orientation and MAPS certification. This full‑time role offers a sign‑on bonus and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• MAPS certification required or obtainable within 6 months.
• Experience with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders preferred.
• Able to attend a 2-week paid orientation in Rutland, MA.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Provide direct supervision to ensure safety.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth and reinforce positive behaviors.
• Teach Activities of Daily Living skills.
• Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
