Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Rutland, MA is seeking a Direct Support/Care Professional to work with youth with behavioral health needs. Multiple 2nd and 3rd shift schedules are available.

A $2,000 sign-on for full-time and $1,000 for part-time, plus $250 MAP certified bonus, are included. Responsibilities include safety, therapeutic interventions, ADL coaching, and detailed documentation to support treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders preferred.
• Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
• Must attend a 2-week paid orientation, Mon–Fri, Rutland, MA.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Provide direct supervision to ensure safety and security.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth, teach behaviors, and provide positive reinforcement.
• Teach Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills.
• Complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
