Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) in Duluth, MN is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Celia youth foster care home. You will help boys ages 6-11 with disabilities and mental health needs; no prior experience or certifications are required to start.

Shifts include early mornings and weekends with a 4–8 hour schedule and flexible options. Earn $25.25–$25.75 per hour, with a rate exception of $6.50 per hour added on top of RSI’s wages.

• Must be 21 or older to work in youth foster care settings

Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our youth foster care home in Duluth, MN. Our Celia youth foster program is located in Duluth, MN near the Miller Hill Mall. Celia provides support to boys ages 6-11 with support needs due to cognitive disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions.

Shifts

Summer 5:00 am/6:00 am-2:00 pm, 3:00 pm-9:00 pm/9:30 pm Sunday-Saturday, school hours will be 5:00 am-9:00 am. 2:00 pm-9:30 pm, weekends will be the same as the summer hours listed.

Salary

$25.25-$25.75 per hour

This program pays a rate exception of $6.50 per hour (included in the wage range listed above) on top of RSI's regular wages. Rate exceptions are requested by RSI from the Department of Human Services (DHS) due to more significant staff support needs for one or more person at the program, so we may compensate direct care staff at a higher wage. Please note that rate exceptions are tied to the individual(s) receiving services and will no longer be offered if the individual terminates service with RSI or no longer needs the additional supports.

What You’ll Do As a DSP

As a DSP, you will help people with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most fulfilling lives. You will assist in a variety of day-to-day tasks based on the needs and goals of the people you are caring for. Duties may include medication administration, household duties, behavioral management, assistance with personal hygiene and medical cares, and community activities such as shopping, concerts, going out to eat, movies, fitness, outdoor recreation, and more. You will develop meaningful relationships and be part of a person-centered culture that values the people we support and team members.

Your schedule will typically include 4-8-hour shifts with hours scheduled during the week and every other weekend. We support people 24/7 and have a variety of shift times available.
