Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Bridgeport, CT is seeking part-time staff to assist with the After School and Out of School Programs for elementary and middle school youth. You will help supervise activities, ensure safety, and support youth with homework and recreation, reporting to the ASP Coordinator.
Ideal candidates are at least 18 for adult roles or 16 for minor positions, with strong communication and group leadership skills. Proficiency in Google Classroom and basic Microsoft Office helps.
Part-time adult and minor employees in these positions are responsible for assisting in organization, supervision and implementation of the After School Program and Out of School Program for elementary or middle school-aged youth in accordance with safety standards set forth by Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. This role will not exceed 29.5 hours per week. This role reports directly to the After School Program (ASP) Coordinator.
Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain, or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel members.
Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, member's parents and other to assist in resolving problems.
