Job summary

BGCAZ is seeking a Youth Development Specialist in Mesa, AZ. The role involves planning, implementing, coordinating, and supervising youth programs and activities across Club locations.

You will work under the Branch Director in Club Operations, ensuring safety, documentation, and program quality while engaging youth and families in a supportive community setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR, First Aid and Food Handler’s Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates programming in various areas of the Club (arts, gym, etc).
• Manages administrative duties including calendars, lesson plans, pre/post testing, roster keeping and participation tracking.
• Transports youth to club locations using BGCMP vehicles.
• Ensures safety of all members and completes required documentation.
• Assists with Federal Food program as directed.

JOB SUMMARY

The Youth Development Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating and supervising programs and activities for youth and/or teens.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES

• Facilitates programming in various areas of the Club (arts, gym,etc)
• Manages administrative duties toinclude:calendars, lesson plans, pre/post testing, roster keeping and participation tracking
• Transports youth and/or teens to various club locationsvia BGCMP vehicles
• Ensures the safety of all members and ensures proper documentation is completed
• Assists with Federal Food program as directed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION

• Mustpossessa high school diploma or equivalency certificate
• Must obtain/maintaina current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler’s Certification (within first90 daysof employment)
• Must haveandmaintaina valid Arizona driver’s license

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS

• Workingknowledgeof federal and state laws and company policies and procedures
