Job summary

Ridgecrest Teen Center in Largo, FL seeks a Youth Development Professional to plan, implement and supervise engaging activities that promote belonging, academic success, health and workforce readiness.

Under the Operations department, the YDP will model the organization’s values, work with staff and families, support events, and ensure a safe, positive environment while completing required training including DCF hours and CPR.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Boys & Girls Club or similar organization preferred.
• Complete the required 40 hours of DCF training within one year of employment, including any training due within the first 90 days and all required in-person exams.
• Successfully complete organization sponsored CPR training within 90 days of hire.
• Additional training may be required for continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and supervise activities focused on belonging and opportunity.
• Serve as a role model to club members while helping youth build skills and confidence.
• Excel in customer service to effectively communicate with members, staff, and families.
• Assist staff and cover events on weekends or extended hours for programs.
• Prioritize safety through active supervision and adherence to policies.
• Develop and lead age-appropriate activities to foster community.
