Job summary

Youth Development Professional position in Dover, FL, part-time within the Operations department. You will plan, implement, and supervise activities fostering belonging, academic success, health, life skills, leadership, and workforce readiness.

You’ll model the organization’s mission and support youth growth across multiple Club sites. Responsibilities include team collaboration, staff participation, and delivering a safe, engaging environment for members and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Boys & Girls Club or similar organization preferred.
• Complete the required 40 hours of DCF training within one year of employment, including any training due within the first 90 days and all required in-person exams.
• Successfully complete organization sponsored CPR training within 90 days of hire.
• Additional training may be required for continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and supervise activities that focus on belonging and opportunity through academic success, health & wellbeing, life skill & leadership, and workforce readiness.
• Serve as a role model to Club members while helping young people build skills, confidence, and opportunities for their future.
• Model the mission, values, policies, programs, and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and team activities; maintain a productive work environment.
• Excel in customer service to communicate with members, staff, visitors, and families.
• Assist staff during absences, work weekends or extended hours for events, and support other Club locations as needed.
