Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta in McDonough, GA seeks an Arts Instructor to plan, organize, promote, implement, and evaluate a diversified youth arts program.

The role involves guiding members, supervising volunteers, and ensuring safe, engaging activities; with afternoon/evening hours and occasional weekend work. Collaborate with staff and visiting artists to deliver impactful programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years of experience working with youth or youth development.
• Formal training or experience in arts and crafts.
• Strong communication and behavior management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Youth for Success by fostering Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote daily arts participation and engagement in events.
• Orient new members to the arts program and safety rules.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Develop and post weekly and monthly program plans.
• Monitor safety and quality of programs.
• Recognize members for participation and achievement.
• Maintain attendance and participation records.
• Supervise volunteers and program assistants.
• Ensure a productive work environment through staff meetings.
• Collaborate with visiting artists and special initiatives.
• Monitor supplies and keep the supply room organized.
