Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson is seeking a dedicated youth program staff member to plan, implement and supervise activities across Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts and Physical Education.

You will provide daily homework help, maintain attendance logs, order supplies, and help ensure a safe environment while delivering positive role-model guidance. Requires High School diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, TB clearance, and a valid California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• TB clearance.
• Valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and supervise activities across Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts and Physical Education.
• Provide daily homework help and tutoring to members; maintain attendance records.
• Prepare weekly and monthly schedules of activities; order supplies as needed.
• Create and maintain program logs, progress notes and reports; ensure safety and quality of programs.
• Advise Director or Coordinator on staffing needs, volunteers and program improvements.
