Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of Greater Salt Lake is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional (YDP) to lead engaging activities for youth aged 8–12. You’ll support academic and character outcomes while driving safely to Club-related transports.

The role emphasizes mentoring, teamwork, and creating a positive club experience. Hours are 25 per week with a weekday schedule and opportunities for summer hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass criminal background check, MVR check, and drug screening.
• 21 years or older to meet driving requirements; able to drive 15-passenger vans.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily group activities with youth ages 8-12.
• Transport youth in Club vehicles (school pick-ups, field trips, etc.).
• Ensure engagement and promote consistent attendance of youth enrolled in activities.
• Establish rapport with youth and provide mentoring, guidance, and role modeling.
• Provide active supervision and interact with all members.
• Submit lesson plans, attendance sheets, and other paperwork.
• Plan special events, such as guest speakers or field trips.
• Abide by safety policies and attend local trainings.
