Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Part Time Youth Development Professional to support elementary students (K–5) in Albuquerque. The role focuses on safe, engaging activities that promote academic success, social-emotional development, and positive behavior.

This position is 20 to 25 hours per week, seasonal (summer) up to 40 hours/week, with a pay rate of $16.50 to $20.00 hourly. Candidates must pass background checks and CPR/First Aid certification; staff follow safety policies and use

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience working with youth is preferred.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate engaging activities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to safety, equity, and positive youth development.
  • Must pass background check and licensing requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with youth and create inclusive environments.
  • Deliver structured, high-quality activities and follow program basics.
  • Provide safe line-of-sight supervision and follow safety policies.
  • Offer homework help and support literacy and numeracy during Power Hour.
  • Model SEL skills and deescalation techniques; reinforce positive behavior.
  • Communicate with families and staff professionally and maintain confidentiality.
