Job summary

The Salvation Army Corp in Henderson, NC is seeking a Part-Time Youth Programs Assistant to plan, implement, and supervise activities that support Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character.

You will guide youth, assist with registration and orientation, build relationships with families, and help with club events while maintaining safety and program quality. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; experience with Children and Youth preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.

• Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates youth programs for Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Good Character and Citizenship.
• Provides a safe, positive environment, mentors youth and assists with registration and orientation.
• Monitors club activities and may supervise staff in the absence of the Program Coordinator.

Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates youth programs that support Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. Provides a safe, positive environment that encourages participation, guides and mentors members, assists with registration and orientation, and builds strong relationships with youth and their families.

Implements Club programs, activities, special events, and outreach efforts to maintain and increase membership and participation. Monitors program quality, safety, and facility appearance, completes required activity reports, and may provide staff supervision in the absence of the Program Coordinator.
