Job summary

The Salvation Army NSC-Henderson Corps in Henderson, NC is seeking a Part Time with Benefits youth program assistant. You will plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate programs that support Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship, while guiding youth and families.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates youth programs that support Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. Provides a safe, positive environment that encourages participation, guides and mentors members, assists with registration and orientation, and builds strong relationships with youth and their families.
• Implements Club programs, activities, special events, and outreach efforts to maintain and increase membership and participation. Monitors program quality, safety, and facility appearance, completes required activity reports, and may provide staff supervision in the absence of the Program Coordinator.
