Job summary

The California Community Foundation is seeking a Program Associate for Youth Development/Education in Los Angeles. This role provides program support, grant analysis, outreach and data coordination for the youth development initiative.

The position is project-based with a 1-year term and potential for extension dependent on funding. Responsibilities include grants processing, research, stakeholder engagement, and cross-team collaboration to advance program goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of work or volunteer experience with or in a nonprofit
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple demands

Responsibilities

• Grant Process Management: assist intake, review and processing of grants and monitor progress reports
• Grant Proposal Analysis: assist with review of applications for funding through analysis and interviews
• Project and Research Support: research trends, present findings, coordinate materials for partners and boards
• Coordination: lead communication and meetings across project teams and stakeholders
• Outreach: engage grantseekers, clarify priorities, build relationships with partners and community leaders
• Internal Integration: align civic engagement, marketing, development, and grantmaking for systemic change
• General: support departments and participate in cross-functional teams
