Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains is seeking a Junior Youth Development Professional to implement the five key elements of positive youth development during daily interactions with youth. The role supervises youth and assigned program areas while upholding the Club's mission and values.

This part-time, non-exempt position requires availability four days a week, with both school-year and summer operating hours.

Qualifications

Current Boys & Girls Club Member
Commitment to working four days a week
Commitment to align class schedule with the upcoming semester
Commitment to working at the Club during the summer
Must work within school year operating hours
Must work within summer operating hours
Understand and demonstrate principles of behavior management and youth support

Responsibilities

Implement the 5 Key Elements for Positive Youth Development.
Exhibit the Club Values of excellence, impact driven, teamwork, and good character.
Ensure all program activities follow the Club's policies and procedures.
Responsible for the safety and security of the youth in the facility.
Attend 100% of monthly all staff meetings, biweekly one-on-one meetings and biweekly team meetings.
Assist supervisor in creating trimester performance plan goals and achieving them by the end of each trimester.
Provide daily feedback to supervisor on how the day went and how programs and the space can improve.
Perform other duties as assigned.
