Job summary

Alpha School is hiring a Youth Development Specialist to lead high-energy life skills workshops for K-8 students, coaching them through data-driven analytics and motivation systems to achieve ambitious weekly goals. You’ll adapt coaching for diverse ages and measure progress with Test2Pass assessments.

This full-time, on-site role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of direct work with youth. Relocation support is provided for multiple U.S. campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of experience with K-8 students in youth development, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp leadership, or youth programs.
• Ability to motivate a student and describe outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-energy one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students; develop communication, resilience, focus, leadership, and durable skills.
• Coaching students individually and in small groups using Coachbot analytics and Alpha motivation systems to reach weekly goals.
• Assess life-skill mastery through Test2Pass and provide targeted coaching until genuine competence is shown.
